Kazimierz Wojciech CZAPLICKI

Kazimierz Wojciech CZAPLICKI born in Poland on 17 February, 1948.

Educated in Law and Administration on Warsaw Uniwersity.
Since 1970 serves in public administration, at first on communal and district level (1970-1977) then at Chacellery of the State Council ( 1977-1989, Deputy Head of the Office for National Councils). Since August 1989 till now on the post of the Head Secretary of the National Electoral Commission of the Republic of Poland, in July 1991 nominated additionally to the post of the Head of the National Electoral Office.

Organizer of the National Electoral Office – an executive body of the National Electoral Commission, responsible for preparation and administration of elections both on national level (parliamentary and presidential) and on local level, as well as referenda.

Beginning 1990 – participates in legislative works at all election and referendum acts of law; the author of project of self-government election act.

Gained a wide range of election experience in over 20 years work as election administrator.

Member – founder of the Association of Central and Eastern European Election Officials (1991); since 1998 Member of the Board; in the years 2000-2002 President of the Association.
