Born in 1974
graduated at the Charles University in Prague at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the Faculty of Law. Since January 2000 he works at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, lately as director of department for Migration and Integration of Foreigners, where he is responsible for issues of free movement of persons, migration and integration policy. He is currently seconded to the DG Justice, Freedom and Security (European Commission) where he deals with issues of the citizenship of the Union, free movement of persons and electoral rights.
