1. ONLY 4 WEEKS UNTIL THE OPENING OF THE 26th ACEEEO ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The 26th Annual Conference and the General Assembly Meeting of the ACEEEO will be held on 8-10 November, Sofia, Bulgaria.

The Central Election Commission of Bulgaria and the Association of European Election Officials co-organize the Annual Conference with the topic of ‘Conscious voters in the digital age’.

The concept paper of the conference and the draft agenda are available on our website.

The Conference will be opened by:

On the main plenary sessions of the conference with titles ‘Conscious Voters in the Digital Age – General Background’ and 'Conscious Voters in the Digital Age - Case Studies’ you will have a chance to listen to great speakers from different areas of the election world:

The workshops will intend to respond the questions ‘Is this our responsibility? The role of the Electoral Management Bodies in making conscious voters’ and ‘Should electoral campaigns be regulated? Theoretical and practical aspects of a restricted political area’. Speakers, initiating the exciting discussion will be:

20th anniversary of the Central Electoral Commission permanent operation in the Republic of Moldova

16-17 October, Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary of permanent operation the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic of Moldova, in cooperation with Center for Continuous Electoral Training, and the support of UNDP Moldova, organizing a celebration.

 

5-day training course for young policy advisers

22–26 January 2018, Sandö, Sweden

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights organizes a five-day training course for young policy advisers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

This course will be held in January 2018 in co-operation with the Central European University’s Global Policy Academy and the Folke Bernadotte Academy. The aim is to strengthen participants’ knowledge of democratic institutions, and OSCE commitments in the field of democratic governance, as well as facilitate a deeper understanding of the role of policy advisers and the skills needed to undertake core tasks and policy-making functions. Candidates will be young policy professionals (up to age 35) working in ministries, administrations, and other state institutions. Tuition, course materials, full board accommodation, as well as airfare costs will be covered by ODIHR for the selected participants; application information is included in the attached brochure - the deadline for applications is 15 October.

Presidential elections will be held in the Kyrgyz Republic on 15 October, 2017.
