The Secretariat, located in Budapest, Hungary is the permanent organ of the Association. The Secretariat carries out the
duties entrusted to it by the General Assembly and the Executive Board. It responds to the needs of the Association's membership by organizing conferences, outreach efforts and other activities. Centrally located, the Secretariat has been
led by ACEEEO Secretary General Dr. Zoltan Tóth.

Dr. Zoltán Tóth, Secretary General  

Zoltán Tóth has been Secretary General of the Association of European Election Officials (ACEEEO) since its foundation. In this capacity, he prepares and executes the resolutions of the ACEEEO Executive Board and supervises the operation of the Association. He serves as chief operating officer of the Association and represents it in its relations with the officials of member institutions and other regional electoral Associations as well as with other international and regional organizations.

 Currently, the Secretariat employs 6 full-time colleagues:

 Máté Radics, Senior Program Manager 

He is responsible primarily for managing the finances of the Association; he liaises with supporting organizations, and identifies sponsors. He takes care of logistics and finance for Annual Conferences and Executive Board meetings. He manages ACEEEO projects mainly in the field of electoral training. Mate is native Hungarian, speaks English and French.

  Anna Sólyom, Project manager 

She is responsible for coordination of projects of the Association as well as for communication with representatives of member countries, partner organizations and coordiination of international relations. Anna organizes annual conferences, seminars and other professional  events of the Association, and also involved in fundraising. She is native Hungarian, speaks English, French, Spanish.

Stepan Ahiy, Program Assistant

		Stepan Ahiy is responsible for assisting the project coordinating and organizing processes in the Association. He is the head of the EditorialOffice of ACEEEO's annual publication: 'Elections in Europe'. He is citizten of the Ukraine , with hungarian nationality, and he speaks Ukranian, Russian and Hungarian.

Orsolya Nagy, Senior Program Manager - she is currently on maternity leave

She maintains contact with the ACEEEO’s international partners and prepares working documents in Russian. In addition, Orsi directs projects mainly in the field of youth voter education, organizes lectures for students and holds seminars about youth’s electoral education. She has participated in several electoral observation missions, particularly in eastern European countries and has written several articles on the electoral participation of young voters. She is native Hungarian, speaks Russian, German and English.

Kinga Dolina,Senior Project Manager- she is currently on maternity leave

She liaised with the representatives of the member countries and partner organizations, organized annual conferences and Executive Board meetings as well as the other events of the Association, Kinga supported the professional activities conducted in the framework of the Association. She is native Hungarian, speaks English and Russian.

To accomplish all the tasks voluntary experts help our work:

Zsolt Szolnoki, Director of Operations

He supervises the operation of the Secretariat, organizes and prepares professional initiatives, international election observatory activities for decision-making and executes them

 Dr. István Zsuffa, Program Director 

He substitutes for the Secretary General. Istvan defines strategic goals, prepares professional discussion papers for the annual conferences and oversees programs especially in the field of political campaign financing and voter registration.

  Dr. Márta Dezső, Head of the Documentation and Scientific Centre 

She liaises with the documentation centre of IFES, with Hungarian and foreign scientific institutions She also supervises targeted researches and scientific projects. Marta also prepares professional discussion papers for the annual conferences.
